Sunday is a graduate of the Ogun State Institute of Technology (formerly Gateway Polytechnic, Igbesa) with an upper credit in Accountancy. He began exploring business opportunities in telecom and technology while still in school, laying the foundation for what would later become FonPay.

Starting as IdealTopup, a simple VTU (airtime & data) business, Sunday saw an opportunity to expand into fintech and bill payments. His goal was simple: create a platform that is reliable, fast, and trustworthy for everyday Nigerians, businesses, and developers through API integration.
